Castillo Sizzles -- Smokes Capitals for 5 Hits Wednesday, April 14th, 2021 Fernando Castillo had an answer for everything Victoria threw him today at Ballpark of Chilliwack College. In 5 at-bats he made good contact and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit. The Montreal left fielder went 5 for 5 in the game to get his name in the record book. However, his great performance was not enough to produce a victory. His club, the Royales, took it on the chin 9-4 against the Capitals. "I know you can't win 'em all," he said, "but it sure would have been nice to win this one. To get 5 hits and lose is just not the way it should be." Fernando Castillo hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. So far this year Castillo is batting .364 with 5 home runs. |
