McDonald Smacks 5 Hits for Outlaws Sunday, April 11th, 2021 Edmund McDonald had an answer for everything the Trois-Rivieres Saints threw him today in the Calgary 17-14 triumph at Corvettes Ballpark. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit. The Calgary first baseman went 5 for 5 in the game to put his name in the record book. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, McDonald said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Edmund McDonald hit a solo-shot off Jason Evans in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jason Evans in the 6th, walked in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This season McDonald has hit at a .408 clip and produced 32 runs batted in, 12 home runs and 31 runs. |
