LBL Premier Player Picked Monday, March 22nd, 2021 17-year-old Rubén Rivera made a few Trois-Rivieres headlines during this past week as the rookie shortstop proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Lester B. Person League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .478 average. Rivera collected 4 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 9 runs. This season Rivera is batting .362 with 9 RBIs, 17 runs scored and 5 home runs. |
