Lacy Gets 5 Hits Tuesday, April 6th, 2021 The Gators whipped the Sycamores 14-1 at Pit Vipers Ballpark and John Lacy had a big hand in the win. The Gators center fielder came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Lacy and a tough day for Indiana State. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Lacy delivered today -- 5-5 is outstanding in any league. John Lacy singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Anthony Murray in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 5th and singled in the 7th. Lacy is presently hitting at a .328 pace with 6 home runs, 16 RBIs and has scored 22 times. |
