Gamecocks Lose Augusto Feliciano Wednesday, March 31st, 2021 Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against Kansas Jayhawks, Gamecocks reliever Augusto Feliciano was injured throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 9-10 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The South Carolina skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow. To this point in the season, Feliciano has put up these figures: 1-0 record, 13 relief appearances with 16.1 innings, 1 save, 21 strikeouts, 9 walks and a 5.51 ERA. He has limited other teams to a .317 batting average. |
