5-6 Game for Gallegos Saturday, March 20th, 2021 Today the Cyclones downed the Seminoles 15-11, but Félix Gallegos did his best to avoid that outcome as he lashed hits all over Forney College Grounds in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "I don't remember a better day batting, but it sure is disappointing to lose the game," the Florida State first baseman said to BNN reporters in the postgame interview. "A win would have made the day much sweeter." Asked if he had a hitting philosophy, Gallegos said, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of good pitches to hit today and I didn't miss any of them." Félix Gallegos singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Thus far this year Gallegos is hitting .338 with 1 home run, 10 RBIs and 15 runs scored. |
