Stingrays Vélez Injured Saturday, September 18th, 2021 Whether he wants it or not, Pepe Vélez of the Sanford Stingrays will be getting some R & R -- rest and relaxation. The starting pitcher was hurt in today's Stingrays-Human Beings game while throwing a pitch. Team officials announced after the game that Vélez had suffered a torn labrum and would be out of action for 10 months. |
