Souza's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Monday, July 5th, 2021 Westside's Carlos Souza was 2-4 in the Road Warriors 8-5 victory over the Albuquerque Human Beings. That stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. In the clubhouse after the win, the 21-year-old Souza told reporters, "I'm in a groove right now, and I am trying to stay there by doing the same things over and over again. If I change something, it might bring me bad luck." Carlos Souza singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, walked in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Souza is swinging at a .270 pace on the year with 4 home runs, 25 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has played in 70 games. |
