Big Day for Wright: Swats 5 Hits Sunday, June 20th, 2021 Chad Wright exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Coney Island Coliseum. The San Angelo shortstop had a field day in the 8-5 triumph over the Coney Island Cyclones, finishing with a 5-5 day and a spot in the league record book. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, Wright must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. Chad Wright singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 10th. Currently Wright has 3 home runs and a .214 batting average. |
