New Orleans MR Lyons Will Miss 10 Months
Saturday, June 12th, 2021
Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against St. Paul Saints, Jedi Knights reliever Ralph Lyons was injured throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 10 months with a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The New Orleans skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow.

This season Lyons has made 11 relief appearances, pitched 17.2 innings and struck out 20 with a record of 1 win and 1 loss. He has compiled a 3.06 ERA and saved 0 games.
