Bad News for Knights, Blackburn Injured Saturday, June 5th, 2021 After the end of today's game between Kingwood and Cherry Hill, Mark Blackburn skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after running the bases, the Knights had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The first baseman will miss at least 8 months with a ruptured medial collateral ligament. This year Blackburn is hitting .307, produced 26 RBIs and 8 home runs, scored 40 times and gotten on base at a .392 rate. |
