António Alvarado Suffers Injury Sunday, May 9th, 2021 António Alvarado of the Sanford Stingrays was injured in today's game against Bel Air and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is torn ankle ligaments and he is expected to be out for up to 4-5 months. It happened while Alvarado was colliding with a player at a base. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field." Thus far this year Alvarado is hitting .229 with no home runs, 12 RBIs and 15 runs scored. |
