Hit Parade: Eckard Pops 5 Hits Wednesday, April 28th, 2021 It seemed that New Orleans right fielder Chandler Eckard could do no wrong as the Jedi Knights kayoed the Princes 10-7 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 6 at-bats. Bel Air pitchers couldn't get him out as Eckard seemed to know which pitches they were throwing. "I think the Jedi Knights were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Bel Air fan. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Eckard in the postgame press interview. Chandler Eckard hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, flied out in the 9th and hit a two-run double in the 11th. Eckard has a .400 average and a .511 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 30 hits, 2 home runs and driven in 21 runs. |
