Jones Chosen 2021 ACL Silver Slugger Award Saturday, November 6th, 2021 There was nobody hotter in the Alexander Cartwright League this season as Oscar Jones attacked enemy pitching with a vengeance and came away with the Silver Slugger Award for 2021. The 20-year-old shortstop hit .325 while collecting 197 hits, 30 doubles, 5 triples, 36 home runs and 118 RBIs. He also scored 147 runs and posted a .445 on-base percentage.Yasujiro Uchiyama of the Riverside Red Bulls finished second in voting, while Doug White of the Newark Jail Birds finished third. |
