September's Top Hurler is Smith Friday, October 1st, 2021 In September, Phoenix Smith tore through the Ford Frick League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 20 years old. The young Spokane starter posted a 5-1 mark and an ERA of 3.72 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 46 innings he collected 46 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .274 average. For the season Smith has compiled a 8-9 record with a 6.17 ERA. |
