Goers Left Fielder Sumual Hurt Wednesday, August 18th, 2021 Watching Bimo Sumual getting helped off the field today at Goers Field, fans of the Temple Goers feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the left fielder will miss 7 months with a torn posterior cruciate ligament. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Sumual suffered the injury running the bases in the game against the Jail Birds. In his 2021 season totals, Sumual has no home runs, .167 BA, .231 OBP, 0 RBIs and 1 run scored. |
