July's Best FFL Hurler is Burns Sunday, August 1st, 2021 A reliever is at his best when the game is on the line. The pressure doesn't get to him. Drew Burns of the Boise Hawks is just that kind of pitcher. In July, he was acclaimed the Pitcher of the Month by the Ford Frick League. Boise's star reliever held the opposition to a .175 average and put up no saves and 24 strikeouts in 16.1 innings with a 4-0 mark and a 0.55 ERA. On the year Burns has no saves in 33 relief appearances with a 5-0 record and 1.84 ERA. |
