Hellcats Chill Vedant's Hot Streak Saturday, July 17th, 2021 The Jacksonville Hellcats got more than a 6-2 victory over Riverside today at Red Bull Stadium. They put an end to Vihaan Vedant's 31-game hitting spree by holding him without a hit in 5 at-bats. But it was no big deal to the Red Bulls left fielder. Vedant seemed to feel more for his team than himself. "I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit. I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today." This year Vedant is batting .336 with 14 home runs. |
