Red Bulls Vargas Injured Sunday, July 4th, 2021 The Red Bulls received bad news this morning. Marcos Vargas will miss 7-8 months due to a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. He sustained the injury in the Riverside-Lake of the Isles game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Vargas sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." This season Vargas has no saves in 24 relief appearances with a 0-1 record and 5.40 ERA. |
