June's Best Batter Announced Thursday, July 1st, 2021 Billy Daig put together a good June to earn the Ford Frick League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Sandy Springs officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Spartans center fielder posted a .333 batting average with 14 home runs, 38 RBIs and 25 runs scored. Thus far in 2021 Daig is hitting .323 with 34 home runs, 87 RBIs, 68 runs scored and has compiled a .413 OBP. |
