Acapulco Hurler Tops in Cy Young Award Voting Monday, November 1st, 2021 The Cy Young Award for 2021 has been presented and the Kade Stenson League winner is Terumoto Yamamoto of Acapulco. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Yamamoto. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Banditos star told reporters. Yamamoto excelled with an impressive 14-5 record in 34 starts. In 210 innings he yielded 228 hits and 55 walks, while striking out 225 and compiling a fine 4.16 ERA.Brad Lyons of the Acapulco Banditos finished second in voting, while Bernardo Lara of the Silver Lake Baristas finished third. |
