South Bay-Coronado Fight Results in Suspensions Tuesday, September 21st, 2021 Bad blood could be brewing between the Arsenal and the Phantoms. In yesterday's contest at Cruz Bay Park, South Bay's Lawrence Jewers and Coronado's Jim Unknown caused the benches to empty when they went toe-to-toe against one another. Only Jewers and Unknown were ejected by the umpires. Upon hearing that the two players had been suspended 5 games each by the league office, harsh comments came from both clubhouses. League officials have warned both organizations about the consequences of premeditated retaliation. This year Jewers has hit 14 home runs and posted a .345 batting average. |
