League Suspends Contreras and McLaughlin for Brawl

During a recent Philadelphia-Billings game at The Bell, Álex Contreras of the Freedom and Robert McLaughlin of the Mustangs got into an altercation on the field and had to be separated from each other as the benches emptied. Both players knew they would have to face the music and today the league commissioner's office announced their punishments. They have been given 2-game suspensions because of their actions.
Looking at his stats this year, Contreras has compiled a .222 batting average, while hitting 11 home runs and driving in 54 runs. He has played in 97 games and scored 41 runs.
In 9 starts this season McLaughlin has compiled a 2-3 record and a 4.60 ERA.
