The expression on his face said it all when left fielder Germán Ramos was injured making a defensive play today in a game at LaGrave Field against Minneapolis. You could tell that this was no minor injury. Ramos was examined quickly by the team doctor and immediately rushed to the local hospital. After several tests, the diagnosis was a fractured skull, and in this case, it means his career is over. The Fort Worth Cats issued the following statement: "It is with great sadness that we see Germán ending his career due to injury. He was a great competitor and teammate and will be missed by the Cats organization." Ramos is 28 years old.
