LF Sergio Lardone Out Tuesday, July 20th, 2021 The Fireballs received bad news this morning. Sergio Lardone will miss 6-7 months due to a fractured elbow. He sustained the injury in the Joplin-Chicago game while making a defensive play. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Lardone sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." On the season, Lardone is batting .286 with 14 home runs and 49 RBIs. He has played in 84 games. |
