Bryant 5-5 Against Canadians Thursday, May 27th, 2021 Byron Bryant told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what Bryant of the Detroit Death Stars did against the Vancouver Canadians. He went to the plate 5 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, but his club still suffered a 10-9 defeat. "Not much I can say," offered Bryant in the postgame press conference. "I got a bunch of hits, but it would have been much better to get a win. Can I trade 5 hits for the win?" Byron Bryant singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Brad Dixon in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. To date this season Bryant is hitting .368 with 5 home runs. |
