Ridin' High: Gonzáles Hits for Cycle Wednesday, May 12th, 2021 Getting 4 hits in a game is a pretty good feat, but when those 4 hits include a single, a double, a triple and a home run -- that makes it extra special. The Philadelphia left fielder did just that, hitting for the cycle and sparking the Freedom to a 15-3 victory over the Bombers at The Bell. The elated Gonzáles told reporters, "Winning is the name of the game ... and hitting for the cycle puts a little icing on it." The 4-5 day was also good for his batting average as he saw it rise a few percentage points. In addition, Gonzáles had 6 runs batted in and 3 runs scored. Alberto Gonzáles hit an RBI triple in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Abdel Le Gall in the 8th. |
