Guenette Slaps 5 Hits Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Dave Guenette showed how it's done as he went 5 for 5 against the Pasadena Bumblebees and helped the Astoria Argonauts beat them 9-7. The manager for the Bumblebees told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Guenette keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Dave Guenette hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Posting a .460 batting average to date, Guenette has 3 home runs and 19 RBIs. |
