Jewers Booms 3 Homers Thursday, April 15th, 2021 Lawrence Jewers went on a hitting rampage at Cruz Bay Park today and got membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He walloped three into the stands to pace the Arsenal to a 12-0 victory over the Coronado Phantoms. The South Bay right fielder collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 5 and scored 3 runs. After his three-home run game he said this to the press: "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too." Lawrence Jewers flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jesús Feliciano in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jesús Feliciano in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. Jewers is hitting .353 in 2021 with 8 RBIs and 3 home runs. |
