Castro Receives RCL Rookie of the Year Award Friday, November 12th, 2021 This year's outstanding rookie has been chosen and the honor goes to New York first baseman Lorenzo Castro. He received the 2021 Roberto Clemente League Rookie of the Year Award for his consistent play and solid numbers. He finished the regular season with a .325 batting average, 30 doubles, 1 triple and 29 home runs. The 27-year-old Castro also had 91 RBIs and scored 87 times.Daniel López of the San Diego Hops finished second in voting, while Todd Green of the Minnesota Berserkers finished third. |
