Baba Hitless, Stopped by Tornadoes
Thursday, September 30th, 2021
Masaki Baba, right fielder for the Las Vegas Jokers, gave it a good try, but his day in history finally came to an end, when he went hitless in 4 tries against the Kansas City Tornadoes. Not only had they stopped his 23-game hitting streak, they had beaten Las Vegas 7-4, too.

Speaking with the media after the game, Baba said, "Now that the streak has ended, I admit I will breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat. It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate."

In 159 games this season Baba has batted at a .371 pace with 237 hits and 35 home runs.
