Becker Reaches 2000
Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021
What a day for Tom Becker. The 36-year-old Washington left fielder reached the 2000-hit mark today and the Federals whipped the Manhatten Beach Patriots 8-6.

Becker told reporters, "It's good to finally get it. The closer you get to 2000, the harder it is to get there. Now the pressure is off and I can go back to just playing ball."

He went 2 for 4 in the game to reach the milestone.

In 1433 career games Becker has batted .337 with 2001 hits with 342 doubles, 23 triples and 383 home runs. He has also collected 1253 RBIs and scored 1040 runs.
