Atkinson Records Shutout Against Texans Friday, September 17th, 2021 "He was too darn good for us today," grumbled the Dallas manager after his club suffered a 8-0 shutout at the hands of Anthony Atkinson of the So Cal Republic. He held the Dallas Texans scoreless in a 5-hit whitewash. Atkinson was in a zone of his own most of the game and finished with 7 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing. In a postgame quote his own skipper added, "He pitched his butt off, had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. Anthony did a whale of a pitching job." So far this season Atkinson has a 15-3 record, 29 starts, 182.1 innings, 162 strikeouts and a 3.65 ERA. |
