Payne Files For Bankruptcy Monday, August 16th, 2021 South Carolina closer, Gary Payne, filed for bankruptcy this morning in a South Carolina court. According to the Chapter 7 filing, Mr. Payne owes more than $5.5 million in unpaid child support and alimony. The other debts include close to a million dollars in back taxes. Among his assets, the outfielder listed a chain of failed restaurants and over 2 million in Rolex watches. Gary has been quoted as saying, "What can I tell you? Those timepieces are the epitome of class. I can't say anything about my financial situation. Go through my lawyer." |
