Picot Goes 5-5 Saturday, August 14th, 2021 It seemed that Eureka right fielder David Picot could do no wrong as the Hornets kayoed the Tornadoes 9-4 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Kansas City pitchers couldn't get him out as Picot seemed to know which pitches they were throwing. "I think the Hornets were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Kansas City fan. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Picot in the postgame press interview. David Picot tripled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Posting a .340 batting average to date, Picot has 16 home runs and 75 RBIs. |
