Sánchez Hurt After Punching Locker
Monday, August 9th, 2021
After suffering through yet another heartbreaking loss, Seattle reliever Cisco Sánchez took his frustration out in the clubhouse. At first, Sánchez expressed his rage by shouting loudly and overturning a water cooler. However, the tantrum took a particularly ugly turn when Sánchez decided to take his anger out on his locker. "He unleashed a couple swift jabs to the metal door, then I saw him clutching his hand and wincing," said teammate Dani Sáenz. "I knew right then he'd hurt himself pretty bad." X-rays confirmed that Sánchez had in fact fractured his hand. "He's gonna be out for at least a month," said manager Javier Ramírez. "He really needs to learn to control his anger. Not having him available is gonna be a major setback for our team." The team will explore free agent and trade options, but may be forced to fill Sánchez's position internally.
