Oglethorpe Goes Hitless, Streak Stopped at 24
Thursday, July 8th, 2021
Tony Oglethorpe of the Cabo San Lucas Toreros came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 4 at-bats. That put a quick end to his 24-game hitting streak. To make matters even worse, Cabo San Lucas dropped the game to the Georgia Grays 6-1.

In a postgame comment Oglethorpe told the press, "It was not a good day today. We lost the game and the streak is over."

Oglethorpe is batting .352 this season in 76 games with 12 home runs, 39 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has 92 hits in 261 at-bats.
