García's Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Saturday, July 3rd, 2021 It has been quite a while since somebody stopped Octávio García without a hit in a game. The Sasquatch couldn't do it in today's game at Sick's Stadium. The New York Mafia first baseman banged out 2 hits and extended his hitting streak to 20 consecutive games in his club's 9-6 victory. Octávio García flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Robert Cates in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and hit a two-run single in the 7th. Presently García is batting .290 and has collected 15 home runs, 45 RBIs, .351 OBP and scored 52 runs. |
