Bautista Tags Texans for 5 Hits Thursday, June 10th, 2021 Who needs batting practice? Fernando Bautista of Kansas City apparently doesn't as he battered Dallas with a 5-hit outburst in today's game to lead his club to a 13-3 win. He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 5 day... will my name be in the record books now?" Fernando Bautista singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off António Vélez in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. For the year Bautista is batting .332 with 5 home runs. |
