Makaev Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Minnesota Thursday, May 27th, 2021 The San Diego Hops defeated the Minnesota Berserkers 13-12 today at The Frozen Tundra, but Badry Makaev's 20-game hitting string was snapped and went to the wayside. Makaev went hitless in 1 at-bat. "I enjoyed the streak," the left fielder said in a BNN interview after the game. "It's great in one way, but the day-to-day pressure to keep it going can be tough to handle, too. The main thing is we got the 'W' today. That's all that really counts." Thus far this year Makaev has hit .331 with 7 home runs and 29 RBIs. |
