Wednesday, May 26th, 2021
The red-hot hitting Badry Makaev is riding high with a 20-consecutive-game hitting streak and is drawing a lot of attention at the ballpark and in the press. The 27-year-old San Diego left fielder continued the streak today at The Frozen Tundra with 3 hits in 5 at-bats as the Hops got the best of the Minnesota Berserkers 10-6.
"It's great," one of his teammates said. "To be able to hit behind him and watch him, it's been fun. It's been fun and exciting to watch. Not only fans in San Diego, but baseball fans everywhere appreciate what is going on right now, and it has everyone on the edge of their seats wondering what he is going to do." Badry Makaev hit a solo-shot off Ken Hubert in the 1st, struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
Makaev is hitting .333 in 2021 with 29 RBIs and 7 home runs.
