Hits Galore: Gonzáles Drills 5 Hits Thursday, May 6th, 2021 It was a sensational day at the plate for Edgardo Gonzáles as he led the charge to a 7-2 win over the Jacks. The So Cal catcher was pure misery for the Jacksonville pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Jacks told BNN reporters after the game, "Gonzáles put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Edgardo Gonzáles hit a two-run home run off José Leal in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Currently Gonzáles is batting .396 with 4 home runs and 12 RBIs. |
