Tenno Removed in Tokyo Yakult; Fired as Manager Saturday, October 20th, 2012 "I'm just a scapegoat," said Hidehira Tenno to reporters in the stadium parking lot after the Swallows announced his firing as manager early today. "You think I did a bad job? It's the players who couldn't hit, couldn't pitch, couldn't catch the damn ball. And you can print that," he added, as he stamped out a cigarette and stomped off. Tenno's replacement wasn't immediately named, but a Tokyo Yakult official said an announcement could come as soon as tomorrow. |
