Week's #1 Player: ORIX's Wattu Monday, August 26th, 2019 ORIX Buffaloes second baseman Hafiz Wattu walked away with the Pacific League Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Buffaloes fans are really behind me right now," said the 16-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Wattu batted .714 (5-7) with 2 home runs and 8 RBIs this week on his way to the award. So far this season, Wattu has recorded a .319 batting average with 43 hits, 2 home runs, 21 RBIs, 24 runs scored and a .392 OBP. |
