5-Hit Blitz by Duong Saturday, August 17th, 2019 History in the making. That's what the fans at Cuckoos Stadium got to see today, when Yokohama outplayed the Giants 10-7. Tho Duong of the Bay Stars came to the plate 5 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Yomiuri. In the postgame press conference the Yomiuri skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink." Tho Duong hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. In his season totals, Duong has 5 home runs, .317 BA, .349 OBP, 21 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has played in 32 games. |
