Fukuoka SoftBank's Nisancī Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Thursday, June 6th, 2019 Fukuoka SoftBank second baseman Serhan Nisancī put on quite a show at Ballpark of Aomori College with a big 5-hit day in the 9-8 victory over the ORIX Buffaloes. In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate, 5 for 6.. Wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average ... and my salary, too." Serhan Nisancī doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Nikolay Virta in the 9th. So far this year Nisancī is hitting .225 with 7 home runs. |
