Super Swinger -- Ou-yang Slams 5 Hits Saturday, May 25th, 2019 It seemed that Chiba Lotte catcher Mei Ou-yang could do no wrong as the Marines kayoed the Dragons 23-12 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 6 at-bats. Chunichi pitchers couldn't get him out as Ou-yang seemed to know which pitches they were throwing. "I think the Marines were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Chunichi fan. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Ou-yang in the postgame press interview. Mei Ou-yang hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Wafeeq Isam in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and walked in the 9th. This year Ou-yang is batting .335 with 74 hits and 12 home runs. He has scored 40 times and has batted in 45 runs. |
