Bay Stars Barot Suffers Injury Sunday, May 19th, 2019 Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Samant Barot of the Bay Stars knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Chunichi Dragons while throwing a pitch. Because of a stretched elbow ligament, the Yokohama reliever is expected to miss 8-9 months. Barot was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen." Crunching the numbers on Barot for the year, he has made 31 relief appearances, recorded 1 save and compiled a 0-2 won-lost mark and 4.46 ERA. In pitching 34.1 innings, he has totaled 31 strikeouts and 12 walks. |
