Big Day with Bat: Imperial 5-6 Tuesday, April 23rd, 2019 It was a sensational day at the plate for Laroya Imperial as he led the charge to a 18-1 win over the Lions. The Hiroshima Toyo right fielder was pure misery for the Saitama Seibu pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Lions told BNN reporters after the game, "Imperial put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Laroya Imperial hit a two-run home run off Krish Punati in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
