It's Over: Buffaloes Stop Subandrio Tuesday, April 9th, 2019 The hitting streak that Hokkaido Nippon-Ham shortstop Buwono Subandrio had going was ended today by the ORIX Buffaloes. Subandrio, who had hits in his previous 25 games, was stymied today, but the rest of his team picked him up, earning the Fighters a 7-4 victory at Ballpark of Hakui College. He was hitless in 4 at-bats. "Hitting streaks come and go. One good thing came out of it, however, it perked up my batting average a little bit, but did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with the streak always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." This season Subandrio has hit 2 home runs and posted a .426 batting average. |
